On the structure of generating (weighted) IFSs of self-similar sets and measures

Abstract
We study the structure of generating IFSs of self-similar sets and generating weighted IFSs of self-similar measures on the real line. We first positively answer an open question (ArXiv:2603.11062) in the first paper that systematically studied the structure of generating IFSs of self-similar sets by Feng and Wang [Adv. Math. 222 (2009), 1964-1981]. Then we present some other related results based on a joint work with collaborators (in preparation). Finally, we turn to self-similar measures (ArXiv:2605.05078).
