Moving-Water Equilibria Preserving Partial Relaxation Scheme for the Saint-Venant System

Abstract: We develop a new moving-water equilibria preserving numerical scheme for the Saint-Venant system. The advantages of our scheme include the elimination of special treatments for the geometric source term and the avoidance of solving nonlinear equations for obtaining point values of the water depth. We also develop a hybrid numerical flux, which helps to handle various flow regimes in a stable manner.
