This short course is suitable for students who have some basic knowledge on undergraduate PDEs and Sobolev Spaces.



Main topics:
1. Maximum principle for elliptic and parabolic equations and comparison principle.
2. L p and Schauder theories for elliptic and parabolic equations.
3. Eigenvalue problems, principle eigenvalues, and spectral radius.
4. The eigenvalue problem of non-complete coupled systems.
5. The upper and lower solutions method for elliptic equations.

6. The upper and lower solutions method for parabolic equations.
