Abstract

The global determinant method developed by Salberger is widely used in counting rational points of bounded height and some other related subjects, which is a generalization of the traditional p-adic version. In this talk, I will introduce this method with the formulation of Arakelov geometry, and I will also introduce some applications of this method.
