Non existence of stable intersections of C¹-regular Cantor sets

Abstract

During the course I will discuss in detail my results on the non existence of C¹-stable intersections of regular Cantor sets. We will also discuss applications for the study of homoclinic and heteroclinic tangencies in Dynamical Systems and for C¹-typical dynamical Markov and Lagrange spectra associated to horseshoes in surfaces.
