讲座摘要:

In this talk we shall review the background and applications of general inverse problems and some recent mathematical and numerical developments in direct sampling methods for both nonlinear wave-type and non-wave-type inverse problems. Some general motivations, principles and justifications are discussed for the choices of several key ingredients of the direct sampling methods in an optimization framework, and numerical experiments are presented for various inverse problems.

个人简介：

邹 军：江西大学学士（83，现为南昌大学），武汉大学硕士（86），中国科学院计算数学博士（89）, 95年至今于香港中文大学工作. 现为数学系主任，香港中文大学卓敏数学讲座教授.  
邹军为中国教育部“长江学者讲座教授”(2007-2010,武汉大学)，国家中组部“计划”学者(B类, 2014-2019,武汉大学), 也为英国Exeter大学，中国科学院超级计算中心，中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院，华中师范大学和武汉理工大学的客座教授. 曾为中国计算数学学会第六届常务理事，德国洪堡基金学者, 91至93年为德国Augsburg大学和德国慕尼黑工业大学访问学者，93至95年为美国加州大学洛杉矶分校博士后及计算与应用数学助理教授. 现为国际反问题联(IPIA)东亚分会会长及香港数学学会副会长. 
邹军现为12个国际计算数学期刊编委, 包括影响最大的3个期刊 SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, ESAIM Math Modeling & Numerical Analysis. 曾获邀在国际和区域性数学会议上做过130多次邀请报告，在国际数学期刊,包括 SIAM Review、SIAM J Numer Anal, SIAM J Sci Comput, Math Comput, Numer Math, J Funct Anal, Inverse Probl，M3AS 等顶尖国际应用数学期刊上发表136篇SCI检索论文. 他筹备组织国际和区域性数学大会20多次，曾获邀参与40多次国际数学大会的学术委员会. 邹军是电磁场、数学物理反问题和多界面物理问题等领域的数值求解， 分析以及快速算法方面的国际权威，做出了一系列世界领先的研究成果，并获得香港科学基金会资助（作为项目负责人）的研究项目达1300多万港币.
