明平兵,中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。主要研究固体多尺度建模与计算以及偏微分方程多尺度算法。他曾获邀在SciCADE2009以及SIAM MS2016做大会报告。并于2014年获得国家杰出青年基金资助。
Abstract: We shall discuss certain critical issues in the multiscale modeling and multiscale methods in solids. Cauchy-Born rule and quasicontinuum method will be used as two benchmarks, the former is a bridge between the atomistic and the continuum models of the crystalline solids, while the latter is a popular multiscale method commonly used to simulate the mechanical behavior of the solids. The consistency and stability of Cauchy-Born rule and quasicontinuumwill be studied in the framework of numerical analysis. A careful checking of such critical issues may yield more efficient multiscale method or speedup the older methods.
