Received the 1st grade natural science award of Macao SAR In 2012 based on his studies in signal analysis.

Abstract:

The talk will introduce a recently developed new Fourier expansion (transform) method called Adaptive Fourier Decomposition, abbreviated as AFD. AFD can be used to almost all practical signal and image analysis, as well as in system identification. It is an application of the theoretical complex Hardy space theory connecting three areas of analysis, viz., harmonic, complex and signal analysis. There exist counterpart theories for several real and complex variables with vector or matrix valued functions.
