Colloquium

In this talk, I will introduce two classes of competitive Lotka-Volterra systems in a constant and homogeneous environment and in advective environment, respectively .  We try to understand what affects the outcome of the competition: competitive exclusion or coexistence. In mathematics we wonder if the global dynamics of the systems can be deduced from its local dynamics. This talk is based on joint works with W. Li, R. Wang and P. Zhou.
